This is a referral website
Northern Beaches Roofing is a referral website. Work is carried out by established, licensed and insured local roofing contractors. When you call (02) 8000 1949 or send the quote form, your enquiry is passed to a roofing contractor who services your suburb, and that contractor inspects the roof, prepares the quote and carries out any work you agree to.
We say this plainly because you should know who is coming to your house and who you are contracting with. It is not a disclosure buried in a footer and contradicted by the rest of the site.
What that means in practice
- The inspection and the written quote come from the contractor who would do the work.
- Any contract for roofing work is between you and that contractor, not with this website.
- Pricing, scheduling, materials and the workmanship warranty are set by the contractor and stated in the written quote you receive.
- Licensing and insurance are the contractor's. Work is performed to NSW Fair Trading requirements for residential building work, and you are entitled to ask to see licence and insurance details before work starts. Asking is sensible, and any legitimate contractor expects it.
About the information on this site
The pages on this site describe roofing conditions, materials, standards and failure patterns that are common across the Northern Beaches. They are general information, written to help you understand what might be happening on your roof and what questions to ask. They are not a professional assessment of your property.
Where we refer to Australian Standards or manufacturer guidance — for example corrosion grades for fasteners under AS 3566, BlueScope's published exposure bands for marine environments, or construction requirements for bushfire-prone land under AS 3959 — those references are summaries. Standards and manufacturer documents are revised, and the version current at the time of your job is the one that governs it. For any specific decision, rely on the current standard, the current manufacturer technical literature, and a written assessment of your own property.
Planning and regulatory matters are the same. Whether roof work on your lot is exempt development, whether a heritage listing or conservation area control applies, and whether your land is mapped as bushfire-prone are all determined by Northern Beaches Council records and the NSW planning framework for your individual property. Check them for your address rather than relying on a general description here.
No figure, timeframe or outcome described on this site is a quotation or a guarantee. A quotation is the written document you receive after an inspection.
No reviews or ratings are published here
We do not publish customer reviews, star ratings or testimonials on this site. Where a business has no verified public review profile, inventing one would be dishonest, so there is nothing of that kind anywhere on these pages. The claims we do make — free inspection, licensed and insured contractors, specification matched to coastal exposure, and a written workmanship warranty — are the ones we can stand behind.
